Problem in autoscan FM radio01 Apr 2008 00:47 GMT2
Dear group,
I have this one-chip china-made auto-scan FM radio which has a
problem.  It has a "SCAN" and a "RESET" buttons on it.  The scan
button is used to tune and lock to a station. Another push on
mixing waveforms... like for a synthesizer31 Mar 2008 18:34 GMT13
This may be a really simple question, but I was wondering what is the
correct way to mix 2 or more waveforms.  For example if I want to mix
a sine wave and a sawtooth wave in order to produce an audio tone.
So, lets say I have a sine wave of a a few millivolts and a sawtooth
Wave Trap31 Mar 2008 05:23 GMT2
I have an old tube regenerative radio, but where I live, there's a
powerful radio station that overpowers the other weaker stations, I
want to build I wave trap, already have a 2 gang variable capacitor
sitting around, unknown value, that maybe I could use. Is there any
Simulated RF amplifier stability, but with a filter?31 Mar 2008 04:41 GMT5
This has been really bugging me:  When I design and simulate an RF
amplifier (LNA) for a class project, it shows points of huge
instability (below the desired passband 'K' is *way* under 1 ).   But
when I add a bandpass filter to the input of the unstable simulated
Voltage ripple31 Mar 2008 00:41 GMT1
I'm measuring the output ripple on my flyback (60 kHz @10W). I'm using
2 polymer aluminum caps 16V 470uf 9mohm 100 kHz ESR. The peak
secondary current is 5 Amps full load this should give about 35mV
ripple. I'm measuring 140mVpp ripple on the output. I'm not using the
First oscilloscope30 Mar 2008 14:02 GMT14
I do pic programming, Ir circuits, analogue circuits and use 433MHz AM
TX/RX.
I want to get an oscilloscope to analyse the circuits I build and,
currently, to analyse the output from IR remote controls. However, I

Why is there so much spam in this group? Can't Google do something
about it?

Regen Radio Ideas Needed30 Mar 2008 05:58 GMT24
I've been looking on the internet for regenerative radio plans, but
haven't found any I like.  I was hoping someone here could help.  I
want to build from scratch, no kits. I would prefer one with 1 or 2
tubes, preferably octal based or earlier, but miniature acceptable. B+
Probably a really stupid question...30 Mar 2008 02:27 GMT22
I am building a circuit, and want to give it a digital readout, but really
don't know what is involved in preparing the signal I have for digital
readout.  I know I am going to need an A/D converter/driver like the CMOS
7106 (NTE2051), and of course the readout for the ...
Need a big transformer...29 Mar 2008 19:19 GMT56
So let's say I want to build an LM3886 amplifier.

At 68W RMS, assuming 50% efficiency, I'd need at least, what, a 150W
transformer, right?

Flyback load transient test29 Mar 2008 01:37 GMT3
What is a typical period and pulse width of a load transient test on
60kHz flyback converter. I've been reading datasheets and there
doesn't seem to be any consistency. They range anywhere from a few
milliseconds to over a hundred; is there not a standard? The load step
Using Op-Amp to drive Amp Gauge with Audio Signal28 Mar 2008 14:45 GMT16
I currently have a small audio amplifier in a custom case I built.  In
order for it to look cooler, I decided to find an old analog gauge to
add to the case.  Well, my local surplus store had a REALLY cool
looking gauge that I HAD to have.  The gauge is a 0 - 1mA analog
