| That conductive stuff on circuit boards | 11 Oct 2007 19:03 GMT | 3 |
I have a keyboard controller that I'm going to re-purpose (not a Mame controller). The membranes from the original keyboard were friction fitted to some traces of black conductive stuff on the card. Will solder stick to this stuff.

| Device Suggestsions for Converting 220/50Hz to 120/60Hz While in Chile? | 11 Oct 2007 06:06 GMT | 4 |
Any recommendations for a device to make the conversion mentioned in the Subject line? I think I need a converter and plug (round prongs). At most I would expect to be charging batteries for camera equipment. Now that I think about it *maybe* a small solar panel (available at ...

Point 1: I wanted to build a simple device to tell if a single leg of a 240Vac 3-phase machine is dropping out momentarily. My first thought is a simple voltage divider (1/4watt resistors in series) across any two legs, pulling a

I've been stuck on this for awhile. I've got a MOSFET that is not behaving the way I expect. I was hoping it would act similar to the following animation where source to drain is controlled by the gate:

| SMT equivalent or better to the 2n3904? | 07 Oct 2007 18:43 GMT | 4 |
Can anyone recommend a SMT equivalent or better to the 2n3904? Either they don't make 2n3904 in SMT or Digikey doesn't stock it. I've been looking through Digikeys SMT BJT's and it seems that the 2n3904 has superior switching characteristics (storage, rise and fall) then the

I accidently bridged the 11v power input and ground on my dvd drive, and fried something. Is there something obvious that this could be? I mean is directly connecting the power and ground going to cause an obvious problem??? Cheers in advance
