how to acheive bi-stable impulse control with an SSR?04 Apr 2007 18:34 GMT10
Hi, I'm re-designing a yet-to-be-implemented home remote control
lighting system that uses mechanical latching bistable (or impulse)
relays.  These particular relays will change state with a low voltage
pulse on only 1 input pin.
Issues with my monitor04 Apr 2007 12:14 GMT2
I bought a new monitor and all worked after I blew the inside of my computer
out with a dustbuster, as it was LOADED with dust. So perhaps the issues I
was having (only in the 1152 x 768 res) was monitor and dust related. I say
dust related as the monitor would not work the first ...
Troubleshooting guide04 Apr 2007 10:59 GMT5
Thanks to everyone who gave me help a few weeks ago regarding the bass
amplifier that was doused in soda.  I ended up running the circuit
board under warm water in the sink, and rinsing it off with distilled
water afterwards.  It cleaned right up with no hard water deposits.

Impedance Calculation03 Apr 2007 22:02 GMT3
I have a quick question.
I have an RC low pass filter and I need to calculate the impedance so
I can match it to a SAR ADC.
What would the steps be to calcuate the impedance?

deviation from 5 volts allowed?
possible to make LED blinker at specific tempos?03 Apr 2007 18:08 GMT5
I am a musician and not an electronics genius but wanted to ask a
question and see if anyone could help me.  I am looking for the
materials and plans to make a VERY simple LED blinking device.  It
needs to be very small, (probably powered by a watch battery or

be charged from 2 nominally 12V but actually nearer 18V with no load
1.5A solar panels, in the end i hope to get away with 1A solar panels
but first I need to accomodate 1.5A panels.
IEEE standards for design of audio electronics equipment03 Apr 2007 16:42 GMT6
Does anyone know which standard practices are used in electronics
design for audio equipment?  Or electronics in general?  I'm trying to
learn more about IEEE standards, and I need a place to start.  Thank
you!

Sine wave generators03 Apr 2007 14:15 GMT11
What is now the easiest way to go for sine wave oscillators to work on fixed
frequencies near the middle of the audio spectrum?  Are there off-the-shelf
chips that will do the jobs?

How did they communicat ?03 Apr 2007 12:43 GMT6
During my school days about 35 years ago, we were taught in our
physics lessons, the radio wave only travels or reflect in our
atmosphere  when we listen to FM/AM ,CV band, Air band boardcast. But
I am curious to know how the radio wave communicate to the satellite
