output impedance of op-amps23 Mar 2007 20:08 GMT17
Which part of the internal circuitry of an op-amp helps achieve the
requirement for an op-amp to have low output impedance, and how does
it do that?
Thanks
basic general question23 Mar 2007 16:15 GMT25
Im a total noob to this field and was wondering if anyone could
provide input to prevent me from blowing up my ac output.
What im doing is charging a home made HV cap with the following.
I have a 1 amp 12vdc adapter,   which i will be connection to  a 12v
Beginner question on resistance23 Mar 2007 07:37 GMT3
First of all let me once again say thanks for all the good advice I
get here. I know a lot of this stuff is so basic for many of you, but
for me it gives me just enough info to expand my horizons.
Now I have another question that's been confusing me. I have this
what is meant by high impedence output?23 Mar 2007 01:23 GMT9
I'm doing a project and need to write the output vector of an IC. One
particular 74 series IC is 74LS240 which is tri state buffer(http://
rabbit.eng.miami.edu/info/datasheets/74LS240.pdf). However, in the
function table, one of the pin output is high impedence. Does it means
Voltage Regulator/ Voltage Reference23 Mar 2007 00:37 GMT4
Im trying to create a +/- 2.5V supply from a +/-5V.  I have a couple
of 2.5V voltage references.  Am I right in assuming that I need to get
hold of a -2.5V reference?  I did read an article that showed how I
could use an inverter but I don't have any of those either.
chassis ground definition23 Mar 2007 00:28 GMT1
I am view this circuit drawing with this symbol in various places:

Now, is that is same as a normal ground, or should I be doing
something else different other than just ...
Level shifter with some kind of tracking/follower???22 Mar 2007 20:56 GMT4
I need a simple circuit that can convert/shift a variable amplitude AC
square wave (+1V and -1V to +10V and -10V) so that the most negative
portion of the signal is always +0.25V above ground.
So a signal oscillating about +1V and -1V would result in +2.25V and
Does 470 means it is a 470 pf capacitor or 47 pf?22 Mar 2007 20:54 GMT10
I have a capacitor which has the mark on its body "470  k   50v."
Does 470 mean it is a 470 pf or a 47 pf capacitor? Both are possible?
God bless!

design hobbyist fife22 Mar 2007 16:05 GMT4
I am in need of a piece of equipment which can show me a relation
between sun intensity and temoerature. How do I find a hobbyist in my
area (Fife,UK) who can design something like that for me. You are all
experts compared with me
Rational Question: Analog Electronic Chip22 Mar 2007 09:27 GMT31
Please forgive my past messages. Currently I have a sensible question.
Just out of curiosity.
Is there such thing as an analog chip that consists only of analog
circuits?
4-20ma to 0-10 volt conversion22 Mar 2007 02:26 GMT7
Does anyone know of a single ic that will take a 4-20ma signal and
convert it to a 0-10 volt signal ???
It looks like someone would produce such a beast by now....but my
google searches have turned up nothing.
servo control via lpt problems22 Mar 2007 01:18 GMT3
i am working on a small project in VB, Controlling Servos by voice.
everything is working great except for one thing.
If i use one power adapter to control more than 1 servo, then
following happens
Cleaning Old Soda Off Of A Circuit Board?22 Mar 2007 00:32 GMT20
Hey y'all.  Been awhile since I've been here.  I've missed the joint.
I might be picking up an old SS Fender bass amp from a guy at work for
dirt cheap.  Like buy him a case of beer and it's mine, cheap.
Anyways, I don't know the details, but at some point in its
Ferrite Transformer ?21 Mar 2007 22:36 GMT3
Some hobby project uses E or Round type of ferrite transformer which
are found in the HV  driver
circuit. As this is uncommon or a standard type item, i like to know
how  to self made one,
Software needed for measuring the power consumed by the computer21 Mar 2007 18:42 GMT3
Does anybody knows software that measures the electric power consumed
by the computer?
