Broken Fluorescent Tube Bulb Filament Can Be Repaired29 Mar 2007 21:39 GMT2
>From the past 2 years, i keep experimenting on Fluorescent bulb
technology and last month I' ve found a way to rectify a bad
Fluorescent lamp which have its filaments going apart. But till now, I
cannot explain how it can happen. Anybody who can explain the theory
Analog to Digital Converter29 Mar 2007 21:37 GMT5
Hi guys i am in the process of trying to figure out how and where to
start to build a Analog to digital converter for a project. I have
done some research and it seems that at the basic level its nothing
more that a pulse oscillator circuit followed by a comparator. The
24 bit math so I can read and write29 Mar 2007 19:27 GMT6
I am writing and reading to a microcontroller.
My largest allowable variables are 16 bit and 8 bit
How can I write a 24 bit value when I am limited by 16 and 8 bit
variables?
more noob questions - transformers29 Mar 2007 16:16 GMT5
Ok ... try not to laugh when i ask... tho i only have a few questions
on designing   a home made transformer..  And of course i dont want to
burn my house down..  so  lets start from there.
I would like to make my own hv transformer  and  thought i would start
Solar panel/led29 Mar 2007 14:24 GMT10
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to power leds directly from a
solar panel? I need the light there and then, and not later on via
batteries. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any advice
photodiode: photovoltaic vs photoconductive29 Mar 2007 11:32 GMT2
Three questions:
1) On a photodiode data sheet, you see the spectral response (i.e.
responsitivity in A/W vs the wavelength), however it never clarifies
if this is for photovoltaic (no bias applied) or photoconductive (with
Wiring a Dust Buster to a car's power...questions about when amps are drawn and how.29 Mar 2007 05:31 GMT13
I have a dust buster (hand held vac) that is considered the 7ish volt
version and whose internal battery is charged with a 11 volt (and some small
number of milliamps) AC->DC converter.
Ok, two fundamental questions:
help with simple interface circuit29 Mar 2007 03:41 GMT3
I have the following scenario. I have to do an automated blinds
installation. The control circuit for the blinds consists of the
following: A microcontroller which switches on two relays for up and
down, a single motor does the up and down. Two limit switches input to
Heating Zones and simple relay?28 Mar 2007 23:56 GMT4
I have a house with 5 heating zones, some radiant heat some cast
iron.  Each zone is controlled with a standard 24V thermostat.  I
would like to create a simple circuit that would make a zone (or two)
slaves to another zone.
Catholic Error: New Electricity28 Mar 2007 21:01 GMT8
I have been told by a catholic monsignor that about 300 years ago it was
realised by measurement that a simple coil can be used for containment.
They then realised the consequences and made a decision to suppress this
fact.

PC Monior issues28 Mar 2007 10:33 GMT6
The screen just got faded and fuzzy at 1152 x 862 pixels, but looks great in
800- x 600 pixels. Is the monitor dying, or is the video card?
I dont have another PC to test.

Would you stop for a moment?!
O...man...Haven't you thought-one day- about yourself ?
Who has made it?
Light Dependant Resistor28 Mar 2007 05:11 GMT4
I've just pulled a solar garden light apart and the LDR is connected
to the little LED board with single wires shrouded in a loose cloth
type of insulation. I want to separate the LEDs from the solar panel.
The LEDs being inside the house, and the PV panel including LDR being
Rubbish camera batteries28 Mar 2007 00:51 GMT9
My proprietary camera batteries don't last long when new and as I'm not a
photography enthusiast I find, when the camera does come out, the batteries
have discharged to the point of not taking a charge.
My cunning plan is an external battery pack of standard (cheaper and higher
