Update-switching off car stereo speakers30 Apr 2006 22:30 GMT1
Well, I decided to just try turning off the speakers without switching
a resistor in at the same time because the stereo is fairly old and
the CD players skips once in a while so if the thing quit I could buy
a new one. Oh well, it just keeps on working. I even tried turning the
Which motor for bicycle charger...30 Apr 2006 22:18 GMT8
Hola,
I would like to take an old bicycle and turn it into a stationary
bicycle to charge a 12 volt battery.  I use the 12 volt battery (deep
cycle) for LED Lighting and 12 volt fan at night.

i'm new to the forum and need some help with my son's science fai

The project was a simple wind turbine to generate electricity to mayb

circuit for separating ISDN from DSL30 Apr 2006 08:04 GMT2
Hello newsgroup,
we are three enthusiasted electronics amateurs and we got that idea into our
heads to build our own splitter box. I have a ISDN+ADSL connection at home.
Based on that connection we would like to separate the
Circuit to stay switched on after being triggered once30 Apr 2006 03:19 GMT11
I need a circuit which once triggered with signal (0 or +ve, doesn't
matter) it stays on, showing an LED or sounding a buzzer, until it can
be reset with a button.
I'd imagine that this is some form of monostable circuit, but a name
Tiny Solenoid29 Apr 2006 23:22 GMT12
X-No-Archive
Hey, I'm new here and I hope I'm posting in the most relevant group.
I'm looking for a way to create a tiny vibration. I'm guessing that the
easiest way to do this is with a little solenoid that I activate at the

Download of Multisim components?29 Apr 2006 08:20 GMT1
Does anyone know of a site where I can download free Multisim
component models?  Specifically, I need the model for a 1 Farad
regular capacitor and a 500 mF regular capacitor.  Thanks in advance
for all replies!
Infrared reflective sensor29 Apr 2006 07:23 GMT7
I'm looking for a part which provides an output signal when a reflective
surface is placed in front of it.  I'm designing a circiut for my kids in
which an LED should go on everytime their hamster makes one revolution in
it's spinning wheel.
Quick DC-DC Question - 35V to 12V?29 Apr 2006 04:53 GMT14
Can anybody let me know the easiest way to drop 35V DC to 12V DC?  All I
need is 85mA.  I could easily drop that load to 55mA by removing three
status indicator LEDs if that will make the circuit more efficient.
Continuous load is only 18mA which could be dropped to about 10 by ...
FM transmitter question?29 Apr 2006 02:52 GMT2
I Just bought an fm transmitter and since i hate the stupid plug and
all the wires i hard wired it to the car. first is this safe? also my
power supply to the transmitter is always on even when the key is out.
and the red LED on the transmitter is always on. My main question is,
8:1 Multiplexer IC that's faster than 74HC151?28 Apr 2006 20:31 GMT3
I am after an 8:1 multiplexer IC (in fact I have 6 inputs to route to 1
output) and the 74HC151 would be ideal, except its propogation delay is too
long (33ns over -40 to 85degC) in this particular case. The inputs are TTL
but outputs of 3.3V would be fine, so I hoped there would ...
BCD Counter28 Apr 2006 17:30 GMT13
After getting flamed for not cross posting last time, Ive learned the
error of my ways.
With some great help, I was able to build the complete circuit.
I just had to connect two seven segment displays to it and make it able
