I wonder if anyone out there has a sound no-frills way of monitoring either a 10mV or 2V DC signal (at approx 1 to 3 Hz)using shareware/freeware and taking the signal through either the Parallel port or a sound-card?

Does anyone know where I can find a good diagram of the basic (ignition) electrical system of a car? (Preferably on the web). The manual and a couple books that I have aren't quite enlightening, and I haven't been able to find anything good with google...

I have a couple of flash units ripped out of disposable cameras. They both need to have two contacts physically pressed together to trigger, and these contacts are relatively large, so I assume they could be conducting large amounts of power. The caps only have "9(2)" and "4 a" ...

I need a VERY simple PIC project done but I am not an engineer. I do know it is a simple project because I have read accounts of how it is done, I just can't translate that into actually DOING it for myself. I know it uses the PIC model 12C508A.

I bought the kit from radioshack that lets you make pcb boards, but hte instructions are pretty lousy. i'm curious if there is a way to design the PCB on the computer, print it out and somehow transfer this to board. Or perhaps better instructions. Any suggestions?
