"The permenant solution to Blanket weed problems. Simple to install yet
highly effective, the Blagdon Blanket Weed controler contains a unique
multi-frequency processor, which continually disrupts the calsium ions
in the water, causing blanket weed to weaken and break down. This
device is harmless to other aquatic life, can be installed in minutes
and works all year round."

Note the description for the device (magnetic in-line weater
conditioner):  Treats up to 1500 gallons, maximum flow 750gph.
In other words, the device is stated to work for 2 hours.
Yup, you'll really be able to see the results.  Not.

It's horrible, despicable crap.  It's a sham and a scam.
There's no way that anything of that sort is going to
produce a field intensity strong enough to "disrupt
calsium (sic) ions in the water", especially over any
extended volume.

Save your money.

A barley bag works quite well though.
(a mesh bag filled with barley stalks)
