Hi everyone,

This is probably slightly OT but does anybody know who would be the best
person in Melbourne to contact about obtaining a BOCP. I have an Adv Dip Eng
(Electronics) and 13 years experience with many forms of telecommunication.
I know that the BOCP is no longer required to work in commercial radio but I
would like to obtain the qualification for personal reasons.

I'm not even sure what the current arrangements and qualifications are, but
I'm sure the Australian Communications Authority will have the info needed.

Thanks Martin. I did try the ACA but they fobbed me off with the "the BOCP
is no longer required" excuse. Not very much help at all ...

Seems the ACA is always too busy these days... oh well...

I can't seem to find much other than TAFE courses for Diploma in Electrical
Engineering (Communications) and the like. I know the maritime operators
certificates are now issued by an external provider (Australian Maritime
College) on behalf of ACA, so I can only presume that BOCP and similar
qualifications have been replaced by qualifications obtained from external
sources.

Anyone got some more accurate information???????
